Potato Nuggets Recipe
Ingredients :
- boiled potatoes - 2
- bread crumbs - 1/4 cup + 1 cup (for dough and for coating)
- corn flour - 4 tbs
- cheddar cheese grated - 2 tbs
- garlic cloves - 2 (finely chopped )
- pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
- chilly flakes - 1/2 tsp
- oregano - 1/2 tsp
- salt as needed
- oil for frying
Method
step 1 : making dough
- grate or mash the boiled potatoes
- add in 1/4 cup of bread crumbs, 2 tbs corn flour, cheese, pepper powder, chilly flakes, oregano and salt
- combine well and make a dough
- refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes
step 2 : coating
- spread 1 cup bread crumbs in a plate
- add 2 tbs corn flour, 1/4 tsp pepper powder, 1/4 tsp oregano, a little salt and 1/4 cup of water
- mix well and keep aside
- apply some oil on the hands and pinch a small portion of dough
- roll into cyllindrical shape
- dip in corn flour batter
- then roll in bread crumbs
step 3 : frying
- heat up oil in a frying pan
- deep fry the nuggets till golden and crisp
- turn in between
- fry on medium flame
- when they are ready drain into snack napkin to remove excess oil
- serve with tomato sauce or mayonnaise
