Chilly Pork
Ingredients :
- pork - 300g ( avoid fat portions )
- pepper powder - 1 tsp
- chilly powder - 1 tsp
- turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- salt as needed
- ginger chopped - 2 tbs
- garlic chopped - 2 tbs
- chilly flakes - 1/2 tbs
- green chilly - 2
- egg - half portion of one egg
- corn flour - 1 tbs
- soya sauce - 1 tbs
- red chilly sauce - 1 tbs
- tomato sauce - 1 tbs
- onion diced - 1 medium
- capsicum diced - 1
Method
step 1 : marination
- cook the cubed pork with enough salt, chilly powder, pepper powder and turmeric powder
- transfer the cooked meat into a bowl
- add 1 tbs chopped garlic, 1 tbs chopped ginger, 1/2 tbs chilly flakes, 1 tbs soya sauce, corn flour and egg
- combine well and keep it aside for minimum 30 minutes
step 2 : frying
- heat up 4 tbs veg oil in a kadai
- deep fry the marinated pork until brown colour
- do not over fry them
- drain and keep aside
- now add in the diced onion and fry for 30 seconds
- add in capsicum and fry for 30 seconds
- do not over fry them so that they will retain the colour and crunchiness
- drain and keep aside
step 3 : final preparation
- remove excess oil and keep 1 tbs oil in the kadai
- add in the remaining ginger and garlic
- add in the green chilly and fry well
- now add in the fried pork, capsicum and onion
- mix well
- add in red chilly sauce, tomato sauce and 1 tsp soya sauce and mix well
- check for salt and add in if needed
- finally sprinkle some pepper powder and a pinch of sugar
- now tasty chilly pork is ready
- serve hot as a starter or with fried rice
Note :
- use salt carefully as soya sauce contain salt
