Ingredients :
- Fish 750g
- Shallots 5 (30g)
- Ginger a big piece (20g)
- Garlic 5 cloves (5g)
- Green chilli 4
- Chilli powder 1 1/2 tbs (12g)
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- Kudam puli 16g
- Thick coconut milk 1/2 cup
- Mustard seeds 1 tsp
- Fennel seeds 1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves
- Heat up 3 tbs coconut oil in a pot
- Add mustard seeds and fennel seeds
- Add chopped shallots, green chilli and curry leaves
- Stir for 1 minutes
- Add ginger and garlic
- Stir until shallots turn goldeng
- Add chilli powder and turmeric powder
- Stir for a few seconds
- Add soaked kudam puli and enough water
- Add salt
- Allow this to boil
- Add fish pieces
- Cover and cook until fish pieces are soft
- Add coconut milk and bring to boil
- Finally add 1 tsp coconut oil and curry leaves
- Turn off the flame
- Serve after 30 minutes
