Onion Paratha | Pyas ka Paratha
Ingredients :
wheat flour/atta - 2 cupsgaram masala - 1/2 tsp
chilly powder - 1 tsp
ajwain - 1 tsp
salt - as needed
ghee - t tbs + for brushing
onion - chopped 1 big
coriander leaves - 2 tbs
water as needed
Method
step 1 : preparing the dough
- combine all the ingredients- add in water little by little and make dough which is a little bit harder than chapati dough
step 2 : cooking
- heat up a tawa- take ball sized dough
- roll it using a rolling pin into 6" diameter
- place it on the hot tawa
- flip it when one side is almost cooked
- brush some ghee or oil and press gently
- turn it again and apply ghee on that side as well
- when there appear golden spot on both sides remove from tawa
- repeat the same with remaining dough
- serve hot as itself or with favourite curry
