Pasta in Red Sauce

 Ingredients :


  • pasta (any) - 1 cup
  • tomatoes - 3 medium
  • garlic - 3 - 4 cloves finely chopped
  • chilly flakes - 1 tsp
  • tomato sauce - 1 tbs
  • oregano - 1 tsp
  • pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  • sugar a pinch
  • butter - 1 tbs
  • salt and oil as needed

 Method


  step 1 : cooking of pasta


  • boil 4 cups of water in a vessel
  • when it comes to boil add the pasta along with 1 tsp salt
  • cook it for about 10 - 15 minutes
  • when it is done drain and keep aside

  step 2 : preparing red sauce



  • boil 3 cups of water in a vessel
  • make cross mark on tomatoes and put them in the boiling water
  • cook for 4 minutes
  • remove from water and allow them to cool down
  • remove skin of tomatoes and put them in a mixer jar
  • grind them into a puree and keep aside
  • heat up 2 tsp of oil in a pan
  • saute garlic and chilly flakes until aromatic
  • now add in the tomato puree and cook on medium flame until reduced to half
  • add in enough salt, tomato sauce, oregano, pepper powder, sugar and butter.
  • combine well
  • now add in the cooked pasta and stir until well combined
  • red sauce pasta is ready to serve
  • serve hot
  • sprinkle some cheese on top while serving (optional)
