Ingredients:
To marinate:-
- Chicken breast 500g
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- Chilli powder 1 tsp
- Pepper powder 1/2 tsp
- Kashmiri chilli powder 1 tsp
- Garam masala 1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
- Kasoori methi 1/2 tsp
- Curd 1/4 cup
- Onion 3 big
- Tomato 4 small
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
- Green chilli 2
- Chilli powder 1 tsp
- Kashmiri chilli powder 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder 1 tsp
- Garam masala 1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
- Fresh cream 2 tbs
- Coriander leaves
- Kasoori methi
- Cardamom 4 pods
- Cinnamon a small piece
- Cloves 2
Method:
- First marinate the chicken with all the listed ingredients
- Allow this to rest for minimum 30 minutes
- After that shallow fry the chicken for 4 minutes each side
- Remove the chicken from the pan
- Heat up 2 tbs of oil and 1 tsp butter
- Add cardamom, cinnamon and cloves
- Next add chopped onion and stir until the onion turn golden
- Next add green chilli and ginger garlic paste
- Stir for 2 minutes
- Add tomato puree and salt
- Cook on low flame until the gravy thickened
- Add the powder masalas and stir for 2 minutes
- Add some hot water and cook on low flame until oil appear on the top
- Next add fried chicken and mix well
- Cook covered for 2 minutes
- After 2 minutes add cream, kasoori methi and coriander leaves
- Mix well and turn off the flame
- Delicious chicken tikka masala is ready to serve
