Ingredients:
To marinate:-
- Chicken 1 kg
- Salt 2 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
- Chilli powder 3 tsp
- Pepper powder 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala 1/2 tsp
- Curd 3 tbs
- Onion 4 (350g)
- Tomato 3 (280g)
- Ginger 1 piece (20g)
- Garlic 30 cloves (30g)
- Green chilli 4 (15g)
- Curry leaves
- Coriander leaves
- Chilli powder 2 tsp
- Kashmiri chilli powder 2 tsp
- Coriander powder 1 tbs
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- Pepper powder 1 tsp
- Garam masala 3/4 tsp
- Marinate the chicken with all the ingredients listed under 'to marinate'
- Keep this aside for 30 minutes
- After 30 minutes shallow fry the chicken (each side for 6 minutes on medium high flame)
- Add the chicken fried oil into a pan
- Add chopped onion
- Sauté until the color become golden
- Add crushed ginger & garlic, curry leaves and green chilli
- Stir and cook for 2 minutes
- Add chopped tomatoes and salt as needed
- Cook till the tomatoes become very soft
- Add powdered masala and stir for about 3 minutes
- To this add fried chicken and hot water to adjust the consistency
- Cook covered on low flame for 6-7 minutes
- Finally add some garam masala and fresh coriander leaves
- Delicious chicken roast is ready to serve!
