Ingredients:
To cook mutton:-
- Mutton 1/2 kg
- Ginger - garlic crushed 1 tbs
- Curry leaves
- Pepper powder 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala 1/2 tsp
- Green chilli 1
- Thin coconut milk 3/4 cup
- Salt 1 tsp
- Onion 1 (100g)
- Ginger-garlic crushed 1 tbs
- Green chilli 2 (adjust according to taste)
- Curry leaves
- Tomato paste 1/2 tbs (or 1 small tomato)
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- Spicy chilli powder 3/4 tsp (adjust according to taste)
- Coriander powder 3 tsp
- Pepper powder 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala 1/2 tsp
- Thick coconut milk 1/2 tsp
- Shallots 4
- Dried red chilli 2
- Curry leaves
- Add mutton and all other ingredients listed under 'to cook mutton' to a pressure cooker
- Cook on high flame for 1 whistle, then reduce the flame to low and cook for 5 minutes
- Heat up some coconut oil in a pan
- Add chopped onion and saute until it turn to golden
- Then add ginger-garlic crushed, green chilli and curry leaves
- Saute for 2 minutes
- Add tomato/tomato paste
- When it is cooked enough add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, pepper powder and garam masala
- Stir for a few seconds
- Add cooked mutton with stock
- Cover and cook for 3 minutes and then add the thick coconut milk
- Sprinkle some garam masala and pepper powder
- Turn off the heat when it begin to boil
- Heat up some coconut oil in a pan
- Fry sliced shallots, red chillies and curry leaves till the shallots turn to golden
- Pour it over the curry
- Cover it for 5 minutes
- Delicious mutton curry is ready to serve
