Aloo Mutter Masala 

  Ingredients :


  • green peas ( fresh or frozen )- 1/2 cup 
  • potato - 2 big
  • Finley chopped onion - 2 big
  • green chilly - 2
  • ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • tomato puri - of 2 medium sized tomatoes
  • cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • coriander powder - 2 tsp
  • turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • garam masala - 1 tsp
  • salt as needed
  • coriander leaves - 2 tbs

Method


  • boil potato until soft, then peel and cut into cubes
  • cook green peas with a little water until soft
  • heat up oil in a kadai and add 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • when cumin seeds turn aromatic, add onion and saute until golden brown colour
  • add in green chilly and ginger garlic paste
  • saute until raw smell gone
  • reduce flame and add in coriander powder, turmeric powder, chilly powder and garam masala
  • saute for a few seconds
  • now add in the tomato puri and cook it until oil separates
  • next add in green peas, potato and combine well
  • add in 1 + 1/2 cup water ( or as needed )
  • adjust salt 
  • cook it covered for 6 - 7 minutes
  • add in coriander leaves and mix well
  • yummy aloo mutter masala is ready to serve
  • goes well with chapati, phulka, nan etc.
