Ingredients:
For the dough:-
- Atta 1 cup (150g)
- Maida 1 cup (150g)
- Pumpkin puree 3/4 cup (200g)
- Instant yeast 1tsp
- Sugar 2 tbp (30g)
- Ghee 2 tbs (30g)
- Salt 3/4 tsp
- Brown sugar 3 tbs (45g)
- White sugar 3 tbs (45g)
- Cinnamon powder 1 tsp
- Melted butter 5 tbs
- Mix together atta, maida, pumpkin puree, yeast, sugar, salt and ghee
- Knead for 10 minutes and keep aside until double in size
- Prepare coating by combine together brown sugar, white sugar and cinnamon powder; Keep this aside
- When the dough become double in size, deflate it and roll it into a thick sheet
- Cut into small pieces
- Roll the dough pieces in cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat them
- Then arrange them in a greased baking tin
- After finishing the first layer, drizzle 2 tbs melted butter over them
- Again place the dough pieces as the next layer until you finish all of them
- Drizzle 2 tbs melted butter over the dough pieces
- Cover the tin and let it sit in a warm place for 45 minutes
- Pour 1 tbs of melted butter over them
- Bake at 180 degree Celsius for 40-42 minutes
- Remove from the oven
- Allow this to rest for 5-6 minutes in the tin itself
- After that invert into a serving plate
- Delicious pumpkin monkey bread is ready to serve
