Ingredients:
- Rice 1 cup (210g)
- Horse gram 1/2 cup (120g)
- Urad dal 1/4 cup (60g)
- Fenugreek seeds 1 tsp
- Salt 1 tsp (7g)
- Cooked rice 3 tbs
- Wash and soak the rice and horse gram for 5 hours
- Wash and soak urad dal and fenugreek seeds for minimum 2 hours
- Grind urad dal and fenugreek seeds along with some ice cubes and salt using the soaking liquid
- Transfer this to a big bowl
- Grind the rice and horse gram using the soaking liquid to a smooth paste
- Mix this with the urad dal paste
- Mix well the batter with your hands for 4-5 minutes
- Cover the bowl and keep aside for fermentation.
- When the batter is ready pour a ladleful of batter to the hot dosa tawa and spread the batter
- Sprinkle some ghee and cook till the bottom is golden crisp
- Serve hot with coconut chutney and sambar
