Butter Cookies
Ingredients :
- sugar - 50 g ( 3 tbs + 1 tsp )
- butter - 100 g ( 1/2 cup )
- maida / all purpose flour - 150 g ( 15 tbs )
- cream together butter and sugar until pale and fluffy
- add the flour in 2 batches and combine gently
- make small balls from the dough and press gently with the palms
- arrange them on a baking tray lined with baking paper
- bake in a preheated oven at 180 degree Celsius for 25 - 30 minutes ( baking time may vary depending on the type of oven )
- the cookies will be soft when just out of oven, but will become crisp as they cool
