Ingredients:
- Green peas 2 cups
- Potato 1
- Onion 1
- Tomato 1
- Ginger a small piece
- Garlic 5 cloves
- Green chilli
- Turmeric powder
- Pepper powder
- Garam masala 1/2 tsp
- Cloves 2
- Cinnamon 1 small piece
- Cardamom 4
- Curry leaves
- Coriander leaves
- Coconut 1/2 cup
- Fennel seeds 1 tsp
- Cook green peas and potato along with salt and turmeric powder
- Heat up oil in a pan
- Add cloves, cinnamon and cardamom
- Add sliced onion and saute until golden
- Add crushed ginger, garlic green chilli and curry leaves
- Saute for 2 minutes
- Add tomato and cook until very soft
- Add turmeric powder, pepper powder and garam masala
- Add cooked peas
- Grind together coconut and fennel seeds to a smooth paste
- Add this to the mix
- Add more water to adjust thickness
- Turn off the flame when it begin to boil
- Sprinkle coriander leaves
- Serve with appam or chappathi
