Ingredients:
- Chicken 650g
- Ginger a small piece (8g)
- Garlic 10 cloves (10g)
- Green chilli 1
- Cardamom 4-5 pods
- Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
- Tomato 2 medium (150g)
- Curd 1/2 cup (120ml)
- Kashmiri chilli powder 1 tsp
- Spicy chilli powder 3/4 tsp
- Coriander powder 1 tbs
- Homemade garam masala 1 tsp
- Roasted cumin powder 1/4 tsp
- Turmeric powder 3/4 tsp
- Pepper powder 1/2 tsp
- Kasoormethi 1tsp
- Coriander leaves
- Ginger julienned 1 tbs
- Salt 1.5 tsp
- Marinate the chicken with 1 tsp of salt, pepper powder, turmeric powder and 2 table spoons of curd for 30 minutes
- Crush together a small piece of ginger, garlic and green chilli and set aside
- Heat up 2.5 tbs of coconut oil in a kadai
- Add cardamom seeds and cumin seeds followed by marinated chicken
- Stir the chicken on high flame for 5 minutes
- Add crushed ginger-garlic-green chilli and stir on medium heat for 3 minutes
- Add coriander powder, chilli powder and turmeric powder
- Stir for 2 minutes
- Add chopped tomatoes and 1/2 tsp of salt
- Cook covered on low heat for 10 minutes
- Add beaten curd and cook on low heat for 2 minutes
- Add cumin powder, garam masala, kasoori methi, coriander leaves and ginger julienned
- Mix well and your delicious chicken masala is ready to serve.
