Ingredients:
To marinate:-
- Chicken breast 400g (cut into 1 inch cubes)
- Garlic powder 1 tsp
- Onion powder 1 tsp
- Oregano 1/2 tsp
- Thyme 1/2 tsp
- Pepper powder 1 tsp
- Bread crumbs 1.5 cups
- Eggs 2
- Maida 2/3 cups
*Onion powder 1 tsp
*Pepper powder 1 tsp
*Oregano 1/2 tsp
*Thyme 1/2 tsp
For brining (Optional):
- Curd 1/2 cup
- Salt 2 tsp
- Pepper powder 1 tsp
- Water 2 cups
- Prepare brining solution by combining curd, salt, pepper and water
- Add the chicken pieces in it and refrigerate for 4 hours - 12 hours. (This step makes the chicken more juicy and flavorful)
- After 4 hours (or 12 hours) remove the chicken from the solution to a strainer
- Then marinate them with the ingredients listed under 'to marinate'.
- Crack 2 eggs into a bowl
- Keep bread crumbs ready
- In a separate bowl mix together 2/3 cup of maida, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, oregano and thyme
- First coat the chicken pieces with flour mix
- Then dip in eggs
- Then coat in bread crumbs
- Keep them in a plate and rest them for 10 minutes
- Heat up oil for deep frying (desired temperature 176 degree Celsius)
- Fry the chicken pieces in batches.
- Remove from oil after 6-7 minutes
- Serve hot with ketchup or your favorite dip
