Pasta in Red Sauce
Ingredients :
- pasta (any) - 1 cup
- tomatoes - 3 medium
- garlic - 3 - 4 cloves finely chopped
- chilly flakes - 1 tsp
- tomato sauce - 1 tbs
- oregano - 1 tsp
- pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
- sugar a pinch
- butter - 1 tbs
- salt and oil as needed
Method
step 1 : cooking of pasta
- boil 4 cups of water in a vessel
- when it comes to boil add the pasta along with 1 tsp salt
- cook it for about 10 - 15 minutes
- when it is done drain and keep aside
step 2 : preparing red sauce
- boil 3 cups of water in a vessel
- make cross mark on tomatoes and put them in the boiling water
- cook for 4 minutes
- remove from water and allow them to cool down
- remove skin of tomatoes and put them in a mixer jar
- grind them into a puree and keep aside
- heat up 2 tsp of oil in a pan
- saute garlic and chilly flakes until aromatic
- now add in the tomato puree and cook on medium flame until reduced to half
- add in enough salt, tomato sauce, oregano, pepper powder, sugar and butter.
- combine well
- now add in the cooked pasta and stir until well combined
- red sauce pasta is ready to serve
- serve hot
- sprinkle some cheese on top while serving (optional)
