Ingredients:
To cook beef
- Beef 1 kg
- Onion a small
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tbs
- Chilli powder 1 tsp
- Pepper 3/4 tsp
- Garam masala 1/2 tsp
- Green chilli 2
- Curry leaves
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- Salt 1 1/2 tsp
- Onion 1 big
- Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
- Curry leaves
- Green chilli 5
- Tomato 1 big
- Pepper powder 3/4 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- Cardamom 5
- Cinnamon 1 small piece
- Cloves 3
- Grated coconut 1 cup
- Thin coconut milk 3/4 cup
- Thick coconut milk 3/4 cup
- Cashews 8
- Fennel seeds 1 tsp
- Cook the beef with all the ingredients listed under 'to cook beef'
- To prepare masala, heat up oil in a pan
- Add whole spices like cardamom, cinnamon and cloves
- To this add sliced onion and stir and cook until turn soft
- Now add ginger garlic paste and crushed green chilli
- Add curry leaves also
- Add tomato and cook until turn soft
- Add turmeric powder and pepper powder
- To this add cooked beef
- Now grind together grated coconut, cashews and fennel seeds along with thin coconut milk
- Add this to the beef mixture
- Add water as needed to adjust consistency
- Add coriander leaves
- When it become slightly thick add thick coconut milk
- Turn off the flame when it begin to boil
- Take a small pan
- Add 2 tsp oil
- To this add sliced shallots and curry leaves and fry until golden
- Pour it over the curry
- Delicious beef kuruma is ready to serve
